Jyonnah Ware is a New York based creative who was born and raised in Rochester, NY. Her musical roots in gospel ignited her love of all genres of music which she studies and embraces in her practice. She finds musicality in every role she takes on, breaking down characters thoughtfully and rebuilding them spiritually. The power she harnesses in the versatility in her work is a true showcase of who she is and the work she aspires to do.

She has trained classically in voice for over a decade and is pursuing her B.A. in Theatre Performance and Music at Fordham University. Prior to this, she trained with the Geva Theatre Summer Academy which grew her love for collaborating, devising work, and community.

Her most recent and favorite credits include By the Way, Meet Vera Stark (Lottie/Carmen) and Godspell (Jesus). She is making her Off-Broadway debut in Forget I Said Anything (Alto) this summer at Theatre Row!
